Steel Structure Layer House Design: Plan the Building and Equipment Together

Planning a steel structure layer house for 10,000–100,000 birds? Learn how building layout, ventilation, feeding, drinking, manure removal and egg collection fit together.

Row of prefabricated poultry houses with exterior ventilation fans
A layer house is more than a steel building with poultry equipment placed inside it. The structure, bird capacity, ventilation path and equipment layout need to be planned together. For a proposed capacity of 10,000–100,000 birds per house, the final arrangement depends on the approved housing method, site conditions and equipment configuration.

Set capacity and layout first

Start with the target number of birds per house and the intended cage arrangement. These choices affect the house dimensions, internal access, equipment position and service space. Share the planned number of houses as well as the capacity of each one, so the overall site layout can be considered.
The building package can include a steel frame, roofing, wall panels, doors and windows, ventilators, connection bolts and other necessary accessories. Any daylighting should be assessed against the house's environmental and operating requirements.

Coordinate ventilation with the enclosure

Fans, air inlets and wet cooling pads should be considered as parts of one ventilation arrangement. Their positions and operating requirements affect wall openings and the building layout. Fan selection alone does not establish how air will move through the house; system resistance and cooling-pad condition also matter.
The main image shows exterior fans. It does not show the internal farming equipment, so the equipment list below describes the proposed supply scope rather than claiming those items are visible in the photograph.

List the farming equipment explicitly

A matching layer house package can be planned with drinking lines, feeding lines, cages, manure removal equipment, a feed silo, fans, air inlets, wet cooling pads, egg collection equipment and lighting. The quotation should identify each included system and its supply boundary. Egg collection is specific to the layer house plan and should not be copied into a broiler house equipment list.

What to send for a proposal

Provide the project location, target birds per house, number of houses, preferred housing arrangement, site dimensions and any existing equipment specifications. CHENTAI GZ can then support project planning, customized component supply, production, packing and shipment, and installation guidance within the agreed project scope.
